Still working…
Still just sitting here at work. I am trying to finish up some video stuff so I don’t have to stay late tomorrow, especially since I am working a party on Saturday. Video workboa so boring sometimes, when you have to wait for the video to encode, or DVD to burn, it is just alot of sitting around. Oh, well, it beats mowing the yard, which I am about to have to go home and do… Fun times…
I saw this sign last night as I was going into Walgreen’s to get some batteries. It made me laugh, so I thought you all might like it as well. Somehow, buyer be ware, takes on whole new meaning when you enter the “Harmacy”. We are heading to my parent’s for a few days to celebrate Independance Day. Speaking of… Take a look at my DTP Portfolio to see the add I just finished. It will be on the Back page of the Leaf Chronicles Go section this Friday, in full color! I have alot of fun doing those ads. Anyway. It is under the About>Portfolio>DTP section (DTP=Desktop Publishing). Well, I had better get back to work, so I can get home on time, and pack up for the trip. Oh, Carson has his 6-7 month doctor visit today. I’m sure he will be in the weight category for a 9 month old. He’s a big’n. Have a happy 4th!
Vacation 2008
Hey, just got back from vacation. We had a great time in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Kayce whole family goes down together. It is always fun, and very interesting. Parker got sick for a few days, so that kinda messed up his fun time. But he recovered and had a good last couple of days. We are glad to be back at home. Both the boys did a great job on the drive there and back. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I got to go deep sea fishing. Didn’t catch anything, but we had been talking about going for two years, and finally went. It was just Joe and me, and he caught a baracuda, I caught a couple of small ones, nothing to keep, though. Oh well, still fun. We took alot of pictures, you can check them out on the pictures page. I also have some video, that will be up soon. Check back.
Boys’ New Pool
Well, the boys got their first little play pool today. Kayce found this one online. It is really neat. It should last all of five minutes once they get in it. HA! Parker had already had a blast before I ever blew it up, just playing with the balls and rings. It also has this little crazy shower thing on top that goes nuts when you turn the water on. You can see it on the pictures page. Parker had a grand time playing with that tonight. Tomorrow the water should be warm enough for him to get in. It has been just too hot to play outside for long without something like this to stay cool. I’m going to try to get a hammock hung between the two trees behind it before too long.Â
Kayce has been having a great summer so far being out of school. She has read three books already! Not my idea of a fun summer, but hey. We have been working in the yard whenever we can on Saturdays. We have some really pretty marigolds planted in the box in the front yard, and we hope to get alittle veggie garden going in the side planter box. We’ll see if we get to that this year. We’re just slowly trying to make our home into what we want it to be. I was told it take three years to get our yard under control in a new home. We have one to go! I’m going to try to get someone to come in and level out the back yard some, and add some good dirt to sew grass. It is so rocky on the back hill, you can’t do anything with it. Well, I’m going to watch some TV, and relax before I have to hit the hay, and then go to work tomorrow. ‘night everybody!
Geek Squad meet your match!!!
I’ve just signed up for this service called crossloop. It allows people who need tech help to search for some who might be able to help, and then they can install this program that give me secure remote access to their computer so I can help. Pretty cool, but nothing new… However, this one is FREE! And it works good too. I just used it to help my mom with her computer. I’m hoping to drum up alittle bit of side work here in Clarksville with it as well. I’ve posted this “badge” on my facebook profile, as well as anywhere else I could. Anyway, if you ever need help… Let me know!!! Or just go to http://www.crossloop.com/asusong.
I’ve returned
After a long absence from my website… I’ve returned. It has just been a very busy few months. Time gets away from you fast. I’ve uploaded a few pictures in a new gallery. I’ve added a new video tonight of Kayce’s First Day of School. Take a look.
I have this video becuase I am working on capturing some of Sam’s old videos to put on DVD. In fact, I couldn’t find a VCR in any store to use to transfer the tapes. All they had were combo units, DVD/VCR, etc… I had to borrow one from work. I’ve got it hooked up to my computer now, via my video camera, and I’m transfering those tapes alittle at time. I had to share that clip, though, it is just too good. Well, I’ll try to get some of my own videos up here soon, as well. And some updated pictures of the boys. Keep checking back… I’ll try not to let it go so long without an update from now on. Have a great night!
Let it SNOW!
We went to sleep last night with about an inch of snow on the ground… We woke to about 4 or 5 inches!! Now we just have to find a sled. This will be both the boys first REAL snow. I’m glad I split and stacked wood in the garage on Thursday. We’re going to need it today. I’m sure I’ll have more pictures and video up here later today. Parker is already chomping at the bit to get outside. The roads aren’t too bad at all, although, there were 113 wrecks called into to 911 last night between 1pm and 9pm, according to the 911 logs. I just chalk it up to people in clarksville not knowing how to drive in this weather. Whatever happened to tire chains and snow tires? I guess we don’t get as much snow as we used to. Well, we’re going to get outside and enjoy it while we can.Â
Fun Visit
My mom and dad were down this weekend. We had a great time. We ate chili, played, ate chili, went to the park, flew my airplane, wrecked my airplane, ate chili, etc… Sunday we went to Teri’s house to eat, which was fun, as usual, but even more so being able to have some my family there. Parker and Carson, had a great time seeing Mamaw and Papaw, as well. And Kayce and I didn’t mind having live in baby sitters for day, either. But it’s monday and we’re back at work… Oh well, back to the real world. Kayce’s class is studying magnets this week… I’m going to attempt to build a large enough electro-magnet to pull fillings out of her students heads… Or at least, to pick up a paper clip. We’ll see. If you see a large plume of smoke coming from Clarksville, that would be me. Oh, don’t forget to checkout the video and pictures sections, there are some new additions there, including the picture to the left.Â
I hope everyone else had an enjoyable weekend, and has a fantastic week. I can’t think of anything coming up that I might need to post here, and quite frankly, I’m tired, so I think I’m going to call this post Finished. Check back soon!
