Baby BOY!

It’s a boy! We found out today at 4:30pm that will be adding another little boy to our family later this year. The pictures are on here, just click on Pictures. We are all excited… We can stop calling it the miscellaneous baby now. We don’t have a name in stone yet, but we have narrowed down our choices. When Kayce told Parker that she had a baby brother in her belly, (Sorry about the cliff-hanger… Got busy at work)  He said…  “Oh, me too!!”  Almost worth the wait, huh?  Have a great weekend…

Clarksville Happenings

It has been a busy few weeks here in Clarksville.  Kayce was finishing up her first year teaching, Parker is…  well, he’s two.  And I’m just busy as always.  I thought things would slow down when the new building was completed, but there is just as much to do now, perhaps more, as there was during construction.  Kayce goes for her second check up next week, and we will get listen to the baby’s heart beat.  That is always exciting.  NewClassroom2WNewClassroom1e are working on getting Kayce moved into her new classroom.  Here are some pictures.  I’m working on her website and new business cards right now.  Take a look.  Click here to go to www.mrs-susong.com.  I had to redo everything to fit in with the new school colors, and mascot, etc…  I think it looks nice.  We’re just trying to get things done one at a time.  We need a new roof sooner than later.  There are a few soft spots, and we have some issues with the soffet, but I hope to get that taken care of by the end of June early July.  Also, this is not new news, but I hadn’t said anything about it yet.  Jacob (Kayce’s brother) has been selected with the 2007 Model Congress.  And well, that is the best of the best of what is going on in Clarksville, TN at this hour.  It’s time to get some dinner and rest a few hours, before we get up and do it all over again.

Big News!!

Susong BabyFor those of you who haven’t heard, we have big news.  Kayce and I are expected our second child, to be born in December.  We are both very excited, and Parker is now coming around to the idea as well.  We went to the doctor on Tuesday, and had our first ultrasound.  Click to see the picture larger.  I don’t know that there is much to say about our new little peanut.  His/Her (hopefully, her) heart is beating well, and everything is progressing wonderfully.  Check back in four weeks to hear more news.  I will, of course, be posting everything we find out.

Please be sure to notice that I have enabled the comments so be sure to write us back, just click comments below to post a message to us.

The Swing Set

SwingsetToday (Saturday March 3rd, 2007)  Sam (Kayce’s Dad) and I finally put the swingset we got him for his birthday two week ago together.  It took alot longer than I had expected it to.  Also, it was much colder than I had expected it to be.  We got started about 10:00am or so, and finally finished up around 4pm.  We probably would have finished sooner had it not been for the cold, which was made worse by the wind.  There are some pictures in the photogallery in the Our House folder.  Take a look.  It is actually quite nice now that it is together.  Parker is still taking a nap, so he may not get a chance to play on it today.  Which he won’t get to play on it much until it warms up again.  We have alot of landscape work to do, and then we will have to move this thing to its final position in the yard.  Again, that will be when it warms up.  Well, enjoy the pictures, and STAY WARM!

Parker’s Birthday

Parker's 2Parker’s birthday was this past weekend.  We had a big time with almost all the family here.  The house was full and I think everyone had a great time visiting.  Parker had alot of fun playing with Tyson, Ethan, Issac, and whole crew…  He also got more toys that he will ever play with.  But he is certainly trying!!  Bellevue IIMommy and Daddy went out and got him a swing set.  We haven’t had a chance to put it together (or I should say, I haven’t put it together yet).  It is lying in the garage in pieces.  This is what it will look like when it finally gets put together next year.  It’s the thought that counts, right?  Well, Parker is 2 and he’s loving it…  We aren’t so much…  I’ll be glad when 3 rolls around.

Yestarday, Kayce and I had the opportunity to go see “Cats”, the broadway musical.  It was Kayce’s first time, and my second to see this show.  Of course, it was great.  We saw it at the TPAC (Tennessee Performing Arts Center), in the Jackson Theatre.  Kayce went and got a new dress for the occassion (which was all very spur of the moment), and we had a big night.  The show was at 8pm, and we got back to Nanny and Papa’s house at about 11:30pm to pick up Parker.  This was one of Parkers first time being put to bed by someone other than Mommy and Daddy.  One thing that made it really great was our seats.  We had second row seats.  We could actually see the actors spit as they sang.  It was awesome.  The back thing now, if that once you sit on the second row, you can’t really go back to nose-bleed.

Speaking of nose-bleed…  Parker has had what we think is a sinus infection, but I’m going to call the doctor tomorrow.  He has a low, but controlable fever, and periodic nose bleeds.  Not to mention stuffy nose, etc…  So I’m fairly certian he has had a sinus infection.  No biggy, Daddy has them all the time.  We’re check on it though.  Well, we’re off to bed.  Got to work tomorrow…  I’ve got computers to order, videos to edit, websites to build, designs to approve, equipment to repair…  Let the maddness begin!

ParkerPumpkinIt’s the last work day of the year.  I’m the only person in the music office today.  I guess everyone else took vacation.  It’s ok… I like it nice and quite, I’m getting alot done actually.  I’ve won solitare so many times now I’ve lost count.  No, not really.  I’ve been getting caught up on things that got put aside while I was gone on vacation over Christmas.  Speaking of, Christmas videos will be uploaded soon, but for now you can check out the picture album for all the still shots.  This picture would have been our Christmas card, but we forgot we dropped them off to be developed.  Oh well, next year…  Family2006Click on it to make it larger.  We had a really great Christmas this year.  The whole family was together for the first time in awhile.  It was alot of fun.  That’s the family on the right.  Kayce is enjoying her break from work, as if Parker, who likes having Mommy home all day long.  We’ve been busy trying to get ready for New Years Day, Kayce is having her teacher friends over.  It’s lunch time, so I better go eat.  I have server updates to do in a few minutes.  Happy New Year!!

December 13, 2006

It has been awhile since my last post, sorry.  It is has been a very busy last few weeks.  We had our Christmas production at church this past Sunday.  That has been eating up most of my time.  This week I’ve been spending almost all my time at work doing the mixdown and editing of the Christmas show for TV and DVD.  I would have normally stretched this out into a two week process, but since I’m on vacation next week, I had no choice.  Right now it looks like the finished product is going to be pretty good.  I’ve still have alot of work left to do, but hope to finish it tomorrow.  Kayce and Parker are doing wonderful.  Parker had a bad week last week, he had some kind of stomach virus, but it seems to have passed.  We are all just trying to catch up on house work and shopping before Christmas.  We can’t wait to see everyone over Christmas.  Merry Christmas!

Sunday November 5, 2006

Whew… What a week.  Let just thank everyone who called to wish me a happy birthday.  Whether you actually talked to me or not.  Let me fill everyone in on my week.  Sunday evening.  After the service was over at 7pm several of us  stayed around to help dismantle our old sound board to make room for our new digital board.  We purchased one of the greatest sound boards in production.  It is called the Venue and it is made by Digidesign.  It is awesome.  Monday.  They showed up with the board and started the assembly and installation which took all of monday (until 10pm) and most of Tuesday.  Wednesday we had our mid-week service, which went pretty well considering we wer still getting our feet underneath us on the new board.  In addittion to all this, the new board caused me to have to redo all of my video stuff to accomodate the new capabilities of the board.  I traced wires, re-wired, re-arranged furniture in the video room, un-pluged, and re-plugged everything that had anything to do with audio or video.  Busy week.  In addition to all that, I’m sort of overseeing the installation of the low-voltage in the four story youth and children’s building we are contructing.  They are just about to finish up the ceiling grid on the first floor so we have to get our network and telephone lines in asap.  Our sub-contractor is coming to start that tomorrow, but I had to meet with all the concerned parties (General Contractor, Electrician, etc…) last week and do a walk through of the whole thing so they could get started.  Oh, I forget to mention the same sub-contractor was in the sanctuary this past week running new video and audio lines to the camera positions so we didn’t have to tape cables to the floor under the pews (tacky).  Oh, and on top of all that… I had to get my weekly work done for Sunday.  Busy week.  Did I mention that on my birthday I was work for a training session until 9:00pm.
Kayce and I went out on Saturday and ate at Hananoki’s and saw the new Santa Clause movie.  It was nice to have a break from a week full of wiring!  Well, that’s my week.  How was yours?  Hopefully, slightly less busy.  I guess I earned my 24th birthday this past week.  I hope I don’t have work as hard to turn 25 next year.Â
