I had a cold but fun night a few days ago. I decided to try to get some good pictures of the lunar eclipse. It took me awhile to get my settings figured out, but I think I manage to gather some pretty respectable shots. Here is one of my best. This was towards the middle of the eclipse, just about 20 minutes from the full eclipse. It was pretty neat to watch. I had never really paid much attention to lunar eclipses, but appearantly they happen fairly frequently. I looked it up and the next and only total solar eclipse that will visible from Tennessee happens in 2017 and will be visiable for 2 minutes. That will be cool. Mark it on your calendars! Anyway, just sharing a shot. Enjoy.

The Boys
We just got the boys 3 year and 2 month pictures back today. They turned out so well. You can take a look on the pictures page. We had a great night tonight. Kayce and I had our first small group meeting with our new group at Grace Community Church. We had a great time getting to know the folks we are going to be meeting with for the next year and a half. Kayce may be out of school tomorrow (she will probably blame me for jinxing it by typing this if they aren’t), it has started to sleet and snow alittle. We’ll see. Parker has his first Valentines Party tomorrow at preschool. He picked out what Valentines he was giving to whom, and then signed his “P” to most of them. His hand got tired so he asked if he could stop after about 5.Â
I recorded the Clarksville Academy Middle School choir today. The high schoolers are coming next week. Each spring they have a concert, and to boost their confidence (and volume), Debbie (who also works part time at FBC doing Student Choir), brings them over to record. It is kind of fun, and I get paid alittle. I record them, then put their voices to the tracks, and split it so they add or take away the voices during the concert (by panning Left or Right).Â
Anyway. Nothing too exciting going on here in Clarksville… Just the same old, same old. Have a great rest of the week.
Great Saturday for Flying…
Today was very good day. The boys had their 3 year, and 2 month pictures taken. They also took some pictures together. You can see to the left the picture I took of the screen with my phone at the Photo Studio. The pictures won’t be back for a few weeks and they don’t give our proofs, so this was the best I could do to show what great pictures they took. They both did great. Afterward as a reward for doing so well, Parker got a toy car, Carson got to eat, and I got an RC airplane (one of the cheap-o kind). We took to it Dunbar Cave Park to fly it but it was so light the wind almost took it right into the lake, so we moved to The Fairgrounds. I thought with the wide open fields we would have better luck, but the wind again carried it toward a body of water, the Cumberland River… So we moved alittle farther away from the water, a few 100 yards that is. Once we were far from water we had a ball. The best pilot turned out to be Parker, of course. He flew the farthest and longest. I got the most points for crashing into myself, and Kayce had the closest encounter with a moving car. All in all, a great day. I can’t wait for the boys pictures to come back, be sure to check back, they turned out so great we ended up ordering just about all of them. I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Be sure to check the video and pictures sections, I just uploaded some new stuff, enjoy.
It’s Finally Here!!!
After two months of waiting… Carson’s birth video is finally here. check it out on the videos page. I’m sure I could find a thousand things I would like to change, or could improve upon, but there comes a time in any creation process where you just have to say “it’s done”. That moment came for me at 2:00am. I hope you enjoy the video. Oh, here is Carson’s 1 Month pictures. We are going next weekend to get Parker’s 3 year, and Carson’s 2 month pictures taken, and some pictures of them together. Now that I’m getting caught up, I should have those pictures up pretty fast.Â
Have a great week everyone!
It’s Friday!!!!!!!
Well, it’s Friday. I would say finally, but it hasn’t been rough week at all. The guys working on our roof finished this week. So now we have a new roof, soffet, gutters, leaf guard, etc… It looks supper good! I’m excited. Pretty sad that I get excited over a new roof and gutters. Anyway… I just added a new video, Parker and Isaac’s Preschool Christmas Program. I AM still working on Carson’s birth video. It takes awhile to get the creative juices flowing. I have to improve upon my last video, and that’s pretty hard. I’m going to try, though. I just signed up on Facebook.com. It is interesting… I haven’t had anyone find me yet, or at least no one has added me a friend. Oh well…Â
Here is a video I did as a promo for Middle School Camp. Josh, the Middle School Minister wanted it to look like the NBA commercials, “Where Amazing Happens”. I think it turned out really well. It was fun. I say this alot, but the more I work here, the more I am convienced that I have the best job in the world.Â
Fire!!! YEAH!!!!!
Well, it finally happened… It got cold enough that we could fire (pun-intended) up the wood stove!!! WOO HOO! Despite the fact I have a huge pile of wood outside, it just hasn’t been cold enough to have a fire going. It does cost quite a bit less… We can heat pretty much the whole house with that stove, since it is basically at the foot of the stairs and since heat rises, well you get the picture. Our roof is just about done. They finished re-roofing, have most of the vinyl work around the soffet done, and will finish the gutters and leaf guard on the Monday. It looks super good. I’m excited, well, as excited as you can get over a roof. The down side is that the satetilite dish had to come down to work on the soffet. So, we have no TV until they can come put it back up. I’ve debated waiting for CDE to get their Fiber Optic Network finished. We should be connected in March or May, can’t remember. I’m excited about that… 10Mbps, fast internet, and TV, with phone service coming later. I think we are going to cancel our house phone and hook Kayce up with a data package like I have so we can both send e-mail from our phones. Who needs house phones anymore, we aren’t here that much anyway…
Oh, the big news of the day (aside for the fire), was Parker and Carson seeing their first movie in the theatre! Truthfully, Carson was asleep for most of it. We saw “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything”, the Veggie Tales movie. Parker really liked it, but after an hour or so, he kept asking if we could go somewhere else… He didn’t want to leave, just go somewhere else. It was pretty funny, Parker wouldn’t sit down, he told us before we left that he didn’t like those chairs and wanted to stand up and watch the movie. He did. I tried to get him to sit in my lap, but for most of the movie he stood. Funny kid. That was pretty much the Susong’s Day. I hope everyone else had a great one too!!!
One of those days… HA!
Happy New Year!
I know it is kind of late for that, but I’m alittle behind. The Susongs have had a busy last few weeks, as have most people. We have been getting to know the newest member of our family. Carson is getting bigger every day, not that he was small to begin with. We have discovered that he is a very easy child, most of the time. Well compared to how Parker was for the first six months, any child would be easy, I guess. Parker really likes being a big brother, most of the time. I’m sure if Carson could talk, he would say the same about being a baby brother. Sometime Parker can “love” Baby Carson alittle too much. But they get along pretty good for brothers. I’ve been back at work for 4 day this year so far. Not too busy so far, but it is bound to pick up. Easter is right around the corner. And we have plenty of camps, and events to get ready for. Never a dull moment at FBC! Kayce goes back to work next week, and her mom will be watching the boys again. It is going to interesting getting two boys ready to roll in the mornings… Good thing I’ll be asleep! HA! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas, and I pray you have a Happy New Year!
The Susongs!
We’re Home!!! Kayce did so well that we only had to stay in the hospital for one night. She only had to push for about 10 minutes. My mom was such a big help, and Parker was a such a big boy. He has been helping us care for little baby Carson. He sometimes want to do alittle more than he can, but he is trying. Kayce is recovering very well. We are both alittle tired, but Carson is sleeping good during the day, and Parker is letting us nap, so we’ll survive. Check out the pictures section, there are a bunch of pictures up there now, and be checking back in the next week or so to see Carson’s Birth Video. Thanks for visiting the Susong’s Online, and check back soon.
