Networking…

I’m trying out some differnt social networking tools online in an attempt to try to drum up some business for myself on Crossloop.com…  I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…  If you own a computer you should be using Crossloop.  It is a simple screen sharing program and makes it so simple for myself and other “helpers” to “help” you and so many others with their computer problems.  I just finished a chat a few hours ago with a fellow who just had some questions about media players.  Some services are charged for, others are not.  I’m actually alittle too nice.  I’ve given away alot of help in the last months.  Even if you don’t share your screen, you can still chat with a huge collection of experts in various computer fields.  Someone is bound to be able to answer your question.  I would of course, ask you to check and see if I’m online first… I usually am.  So, if you need help, you know who to call, or e-mail, or chat with, or share your screen…  You can even pay online no problem… Right from the chat window.  Anyway…  Pass that on to anyone who might need comptuer help.

Family Pictures

Today we had some family pictures taken by Denise Moore.  It was quite a feat to get all the family out the door, clean, dressed, and primped (Didn’t think I’d ever use the word primped…).  But we did, and I think the pictures will turn out well.  I hope anyway.  This will be first pictures Kayce and I have been in since we were married four years ago, professional pictures, that is.  The boys have had pictures ever since they wer born of course.  So this will be good to have pictures of the whole family together.

Other than that, we are starting to gear up for Christmas, getting ideas for gifts, drawing names, etc…  By the way, if you need a good way to draw names, www.elfster.comis really good.  It works really well.  I’m starting to catch up at work, just in time to get behind at Christmas again, and spend 2009 catching up.  So goes work…  I’m still loving my job, what’s not to love…  Well, except last week.  I was getting ready for the big Marriage conference satellite simulcast, running cables rigging projectors…  It was my own bright idea to rent and fly a large center scren instead of using only the two side screens.  Well, that’s the last time I have any bright ideas!  I was almost electricuted, in the process, I managed to damage a $7,000.00 video switcher.  I spent more time in the ceiling than I did in my office, and everything that could go wrong went wrong.  Worst week ever, and I’ve had some bad ones.  Well, its over.  The conference went well, and I learned many lessons that week.  Next time will go much better.

Well, enjoy some new pictures I just uploaded, and a few videos.  Check them out.

Just some pictures

Here are a few pictures from Barksdale’s fall festival. Kayce had to work for a alittle while, and the boys were both tired so we didn’t stay long. Carson isn’t really old enough to enjoy it too much, and parker just gets grumpy sometimes. The other picture is where I spent a few hours on the roof at first baptist today with the satellite installer. It got pretty windy and cold, nut the sunset was pretty. Have a great Sunday!!

Family Pictures…

We tried desperately to take some family pictures today… No luck. We didn’t get one good family pictures, we got several good ones of Carson, a few of Parker, and none of Kayce and I with the boys. Carson did very well. And Parker is three, what more can I say. It must be tough being the center of everyone’s world all the time. Anyway, take a look at the photo gallery to see a few of the better shots. Oh, and hello FALL! I’m hoping that this will be the end of my yard. I’m done mowing for the year. Well, maybe once more, but then that’s all!!!

Good Morning!

Well, I was up early this morning… No, really! I went to bed early last night, well, I should say, I went to bed on time last night so I could wake up and actually get to work on time. I’ve been really un disciplined with my sleeping, and so I’ve been really bad about getting up in the morning. I’ve decided I’m going to start going to bed on time, and trying to get up and get a few miles in before I have to go to work. This morning I skipped the work out and just got up on time. One step at a time, I guess.
So, we’ve got this large dead tree on the corner of our house. It is really close to the house, and is going to fall if the wind gets up. I’ve been trying to get someone to cut it down, but no one will give me the price I want to hear. So far it’s been $500.00 or so. Granted, its a big tree and there is a huge amount of liability if it hit the house, or our neighbor’s house, but come on! Oh well, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet (whatever that means). This year has turned out to be the year of big expensive things that I didn’t want to have to buy… A new Roof, and two trees being removed… Fun times.

Been awhile…

Sorry about the lack of posts lately…  I’ve been fairly well covered up with work and family stuff.  Big news, Carson is crawling like crazy, and will probably be walking within the month.  He pulls up on anything (or anybody) that happens to be around.  He was actually walking behind one of Parker’s little chairs, pushing it around the room.  It was really early, or I would probably have a video of it.  We are going to Riverfest in a few minutes.  Parker is going to meet Uniquia from the Backyardigans, he’s really excited.  We’ll put the pictures up when we get back.  Other than that…  Kayce is busy at school, but is loving her class this year.  Parker and Carson are having a good time at Nina’s house with the other children she is watching this year.  I’m having a busy few weeks, and what is shaping up to be a busy fall as we get ready to swap our Sunday morning worship schedule around.  There are alot of logistical challenges, and technical issues we are working through, but I’m sure all will go smoothly tomorrow.  Whatever happens, I’m certain God is going to show up in a big way.  I’m going to be directing the cameras at First Baptist for the rest of this month for the contemporary service, Doxa.  With all the new schedule changes, we are really short on volunteers, but we are making do.  I spent a couple of days this week programming lights.  We have some intelligent lights hanging in the worship center, and we just got the control desk back for them, so we can use them for the contemporary service.  I’ve doing alot of lighting this past few weeks.  Variety is one of the perks of my job.  I get to do all sorts of things, so I definitely never get bored.  Well, we are off to riverfest.  Hopefully it won’t be another month between posts!

Saturday… Library

Well, it was a nice Saturday at the Susong house. Nothing exciting, did some yard work, cleaned the house, played with daycare with Parker. He has been watching Daddy daycare ALOT! Then we went to the library. Parker really likes to play at the library. Carson is going to get his 8 month pictures taken tonight. He really needs a haircut, this would be his second. That boy’s hair is crazy! Well, I am going to continue my good day, and take a nap.
Oh, here are some pictures of the work we’ve done around the patio. We just put the grass seed down. That’s what the green stuff is. And some pictures of our fun at the library.

Saturday at Barksdale

We are at barksdale (Kayce’s School) today when Kayce works ok her classroom. Teachers have a surprising amount of work to do to get ready for the school year. So, we all just came with her while she does it. Parker really likes to play in her room, anyway. Plus, for me it beats doing yard work. I did, however get up this morning and now the back hill, and trim alittle. It is so nice outside today. I am going to try to finish my project around the patio tonight. It shouldn’t be too rough. Well, that my day. I hope yours is as good!

School Back From Summer

Well, it’s finally over… Summer has come to and end for Kayce and every other Montgomery county school teacher. They are back at school doing in-services and trainings. The children show up on Friday for the first half day of school. Kayce is excited. She is looking forward to having an entire year with the kids instead of the interrupted year she had with maturity leave last year.  I have to admit that I still don’t entirely understand her job…  There is alot more to teaching than just teaching.  The “standards”, “no child left behind”, “lesson plans”; it all sounds alittle crazy to me.  I tend to get myself in trouble pretty fast when I offer suggestions.  I just don’t get it.  Oh well, not everyone can have a great job like mine I guess.

The boys are in for a big adjustment.  Having Momma home all summer long always makes for an intersting transition into the school year.  Having Kayce’s mom watch the boys helps out alot with that stress, though.  If we had to leave them a daycare that would be really tough.  Well, not for me, I’m at work all year anyway…  HA!

For those who haven’t seen them yet, check out the pictures page to see some new picture I just uploaded.
